Call of Duty: Black Ops, was announced on April 30, 2010 as the next episode of the Call of Duty series. Being developed by a new team, Treyarch, the game title will be published by Activision and was confirmed for the following platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Call of Duty: Black Ops will be the seventh installment in the CoD franchise and the release date is set for November 9, 2010.6
In Call of Duty: Black Ops, the action takes place during the Cold War and players will assume the roles of black ops, being placed behind the enemy lines. Featuring a wide range of locations that will be available for exploration; such as Ural Mountains, COD: Black Ops; will move the entire gameplay to a new level. The trailer was revealed on May 18, 2010 and the official website was launched on April 30, 2010. Since in Call of Duty: Black Ops the story is moved after the WWII, players should expect to access different weapons used at that time.
